Wonder, Hope, Dream, Memory

This year is a very good year for animation. Brave, Pirates, Madagascar 3, Paranorman, Wreck-It-Ralph, and finally Rise of the Guardians. I don't think it gets as good as this. Every movie was wonderful and unique in their own way and I enjoyed each and everyone of them very very much.

I just wanted to talk a bit about Rise of the Guardians, since I watched the advanced screening tonight and I couldn't stop thinking about it. DreamWorks has come a long way, and while there were some flaws in the movie, I believe its essence completely overshadowed any imperfection it had. I felt like a child again, watching these fantastical hero figures on screen spinning their tales of wonder and hope and dream and memory. I don't remember the last time I felt like this. I was reminded tonight why our industry exist and what it strives for. It's so simple, yet people always forget. It's all there.

Thank you Dreamworks,  and Jack Frost and  North and Tooth and Bunny and Sandy :)
